Wisdom That Humbles

In this sermon, Qoheleth continues to wrestle with what he observes in life. The challenge of this text is whether we'll be maddened and frustrated by the observations or will we be humbled more deeply into the love and care of God? 

The Heart of the Matter

In this sermon we will see how Qoheleth puts his wisdom teacher hat on and provides us with ideas about how to approach life. Wisdom concerning our future death, and wisdom in patience of our current reality creates a tension that shows how nuanced life truly can be. Qoheleth invites us into this tension as we explore what Wisdom is, how we can obtain it, and how we live it out daily.

We Worship a Holy God

In this sermon we will see Qoheleth, really for the first time in Ecclesiastes, offer some imperatives on how to approach and worship God. We will be observing the worshipful ways of fools, which we all fall into that category often, and looking at what true worship can really look like of a Holy God.

In this sermon, Qoheleth begins his search for meaning in life through the lens of Solomon. He discovers that, despite all of his grasping, even the wisest and richest man in the world is unsatisfied with all he possesses, and in the end, everyone dies anyways. We're left to ask the question of who or what we'll find satisfaction in.
