The Misunderstood Jesus

In this sermon we see in this passage that Jesus is misunderstood by John the Baptist, by those he was ministering to, by the cities he was doing much of his mighty works in and unfortunately by us today. We all want Jesus to be our Messiah, Prophet, and Savior on our terms, but in order to truly know Jesus and find that rest our souls long for we need to learn to be with Jesus and set our expectations on who He says He is.

In this sermon we will be looking at the way Jesus has compassion for people, teaches his Disciples to Pray for workers, and equips the twelve for a mission to the House of Israel. Here we will see the heart of Christ for people to be rescued from their harassed and helpless state by the Good News of the Kingdom of Heaven.

We the church are to marvel at our amazing servant King Jesus who goes out of his way to love the outsider like you and me. We then are to follow his example by going to the outsiders in our world loving them, just as Jesus has revealed His love for us.
