In this sermon, we wrap up our Advent sermon series, looking at how Christ is the truest and fullest presence of God. 

In this sermon, we’ll explore what it looks like to be present in the midst of suffering. 

This week, we continue our sermon series on "presence." We've been exploring how God's presence with us transforms our presence with him and others. This week, we are focusing on how we can learn and grow in becoming present to God. 

In this sermon we will look to the Shema’s wisdom for how to be a people wholly present to The Lord which provides our best opportunity to give the gift of our presence to our family. 

This week, we're kicking off our Advent sermon series in which we will focus on God's presence with us, our presence to God, and our presence to others. This morning, we are focusing on the theme of God's presence with us.

In this sermon, we are wrapping up the gospel of Matthew. Jesus passes the baton of God's mission to his disciples. 

In this sermon we will see Jesus really died, as proved by his burial. Jesus is also risen as evidenced by the reaction of the belief of his disciples. The tomb is really empty, and the risen Christ encountered His disciples, and it transformed their lives and birthed the church. Today, this is still very true, the tomb is really empty and the risen Jesus still encounters disciples, and His church still presses on. We can have faith, love, and hope because we believe these things are true. 

In this sermon, we're working through the narrative of Jesus' crucifixion. In it, we see that Jesus is the long-awaited king of Israel who will sit forever on the throne, and he is the way for humanity to be brought back into a relationship with God.

In this sermon, we see that Jesus's identity is at the heart of humanity's varied responses to him. We're challenged to assess who we understand Jesus to be and how we respond to him as well. 

In this sermon, Jesus is abandoned by everyone yet he continues to remain faithful because his hope and identity are secure in the Father.
