When it comes to politics, the cultural climate we’re living in is highly charged. Increasingly, people are polarized by partisan lines, living with the hope that their political party will provide the solution. But this only leads to disappointment. The good news is that Jesus teaches us another politic. In this text, Jesus marvelously responds to the question posed by the religious authorities, putting government in its proper place and showing us that there is indeed a better and more sure way to order our lives–the way of His kingdom!
